No two remote sites behave the same.
Dust, heat, unstable power, changing work fronts and obstructed sky views can turn a simple equipment order into an unreliable network. The design has to start with the operating environment.
Remote sites · Mobile teams · Critical infrastructure
Satcomtek designs land networks around the realities of the site: terrain, power, mobility, traffic priority and the people who must keep working when terrestrial coverage ends.

Designed around the operation
Dust, heat, unstable power, changing work fronts and obstructed sky views can turn a simple equipment order into an unreliable network. The design has to start with the operating environment.
We combine coverage analysis, terminal selection, power and mounting design, traffic policy, installation and airtime into a deployment that field teams can operate with confidence.
Sites gain a resilient primary or backup path for operations, safety, telemetry and workforce communications—with a clear support route when priorities change.
Illustrative mission scenario
A representative mission scenario for a new desert operations base beyond mobile coverage.
The first team arrives before the permanent infrastructure. They need operational voice, secure access to cloud systems and a way to send engineering files before the next shift comes in.
Satcomtek starts with a compact high-throughput terminal for the command shelter, then adds an L-band failover path and a vehicle kit for the mobile survey team. Operations traffic is prioritised ahead of general access, and the local network is preconfigured before equipment reaches the site.
The result is a staged network that can begin small, remain useful during a primary-link interruption and expand as the site moves from mobilisation to full operation.

Integrated capability
We select and connect every layer—from the field terminal to the service, local network and ongoing support model.

Auto-acquire and fly-away systems for temporary offices, response teams and changing work sites.

On-the-move or comms-on-the-pause terminals engineered around the vehicle, route and duty cycle.

Primary and resilient links for camps, utilities, production sites and distributed enterprise locations.

Compact voice and data services for backup, safety traffic and highly mobile teams.

Routing, Wi-Fi, power, security policy and traffic prioritisation delivered as one working system.

Commissioning, user handover, remote diagnostics, spares planning and service management.
How we deliver
Map locations, users, applications, mobility, power and required availability.
Select the right orbit, service, terminal, mounting and local network architecture.
Install, test, document and support the system throughout its operational life.
